Applying 3-D Effects

Punch up your AutoShapes by giving them a third dimension. 3-D effects can turn an ordinary shape into something that practically leaps from the page. Just follow these steps:

  1. Click your AutoShape to select it.

  2. Click the 3-D button on the Drawing toolbar (select Toolbars from the View menu, then Drawing from the submenu, if necessary).

  3. Select a 3-D style from the palette.

  4. Click the 3-D button again.

  5. Select 3-D Settings from the palette.

  6. When the 3-D Settings toolbar appears, check out the options the buttons offer. You can create some really startling effects here.
